Our Story

In October 2004, Yorick Ser, the Co-President of Entrepreneurs Exchange at the NYU Stern School of Business, was looking for ways of simplifying the management of his student club. He ended up developing a small Web application which he called CollegeMailer. The system was designed to help him and his officers with the management of members, mailings lists and event RSVPs. CollegeMailer was well accepted by students, and the Office of Student Activities at Stern decided to license the platform and to provide it to all the other student clubs at school. Shortly after, Novalsys was awarded an incubatee pod at the NYU Stern's Incubator.

Yorick first worked part-time on developing for features for CollegeMailer, then he decided to turn the project into a company in June 2007. CollegeMailer was renamed CampusGroups and rapidely grew into a powerful community and group management platform catering to all the needs of all groups on campus.

CampusGroups is now implemented at major Universities in the US and in Europe.
